a girl and a picture: which is real?
an end to foundationalism
we live in a post-modern age. what does this mean? nancey murphey tells us that we no longer have to find reasons for what we believe. we don't have to do the hard work of thinking. we just get to tell stories. we don't need creeds or rules. we just get to adventure together making things up as we go. we also don't like the caps lock key, but that is another story.

we get things like the getty because we like art
the story we are in
at Saint Chad we spend a great deal of time with story. we talk about the place god/ess has put us. we are not religious in the sense of "church." in fact, we are a group of college aged people liberated from any idea that would require thinking outside of our frame of reference. we do this by claiming that we are thinking inside god/ess' party, the kingdom of god/ess. it is a big adventure and includes art and parties and snacks. it is really, really fun and not at all like your parent's church. your parent's church is behind the times.

we had a party where we buried religion
no creed but our experience of god
we like to get together in groovy space and urban lofts. we blog a great deal. we are the next generation. if you don't get us, then move on. you are not part of the post-modern thing that has already happened. in fact, you have a duty to be the spiritually dead and go and bury yourselves in your churches while we the next generation live in the world in which we live. we are sick of having to put up with your old ways. we take the best of every church and use it without context in the story we are now in. we read the bible and talk about our experience, but are not be controlled by any form save our true god the spirit of our age! if you want to experience god and spirituality in a new way come to our place. it is in fontana. it is open. it will not condemn you. it embraces you. it has nights all about whatever it is you want us to have nights about. peace.
